The Latest social media Trend - A Parody of Selfies or Serious Look photos. A Case Study of Celebrities VS Social Media

Since the famous Oscars selfie trend, parodies of all sort has been creating buzz on the internet.  

 



Main while, somewhere in London, David Cameron, the current Prime Minister decided to turn it up when he shared a picture of himself on Twitter with an attempt to look statesmanlike.

   


But  unsurprisingly backfired, after Twitter users mercilessly parodied his ‘serious face’ phone call to Barack  Obama.

Shortly after this photo was posted, celebrities such as comedian Rob Delaney and comedy writer Graham Linehan took advantage of such an open goal.
